Will they benefit or harm consumers?
As we understand more about what makes us genetically different from one another, we may be able to gain knowledge about our susceptibilities to common illnesses such as cancer and heart disease. Do these tests represent an extension of consumer choice or a threat to our privacy? Are these tests beneficial or harmful to consumers? This public discussion meeting was organised in association with IDEAS, the London Genetics Knowledge Park.
