BioNews is entirely dependent on public donations and sponsorship. PET needs to raise £52,000 each year to keep BioNews as a free service for everyone to access. We are still a long way from meeting BioNews' costs for 2005-6. Whether you're a new BioNews reader or a reader of long standing, if you'd like to support BioNews, there are four ways in which you can help:

* You can donate to BioNews at any time using any credit or debit card, simply by going to: https://www.bmycharity.com/bionews and following the instructions on the page. The BioNews website homepage also displays a link to the donations page. Or, if you prefer, you can send a cheque made payable to Progress Educational Trust, to 'BioNews Appeal',at Progress Educational Trust, 140 Gray's Inn Road, London, WC1X 8AX. Any amount, large or small, will help us. If every one of our 10,000 readers each donate £5 once a year, we would easily be able to cover BioNews' production costs.

* Progress Educational Trust has been informing the public and facilitating balanced debate on the ethical, legal and social issues raised by human genetics and assisted reproduction since 1992. The charity achieves these aims through producing BioNews, and running public debates and conferences, writing publications and putting on workshops and lectures for everyone from primary school students to health care professionals. If you support these aims, then please help us and also support BioNews by becoming a PET Friend at: http://www.progress.org.uk/Friends/Index.html

* If your organisation is interested in co-sponsoring BioNews, please email Laura Riley at lriley@progress.org.uk for further details.

* If you are unable to help us financially, you can still help us by encouraging friends and colleagues to subscribe to BioNews by Email by clicking here. They'll receive a free weekly round up of BioNews stories and comment, and we won;t pass on their details to anyone else. The more subscribers we have for our free weekly service, the easier it is for us to attract sponsors!

Many thanks for yoursupport of BioNews.
