Dr Anna Smajdor

Dr Anna Smajdor

Dr Anna Smajdor is an Adviser to the Progress Educational Trust (PET), and a Lecturer in Ethics at the University of East Anglia. She is also Vice Chair of the Riverside Research Ethics Committee, and an Honorary Research Fellow at Imperial College London. From her first degree in Philosophy to her doctoral thesis supported by the Wellcome Trust, she has pursued a longstanding interest in the ethical and regulatory aspects of science, medicine and technology. She has written and spoken widely in connection with this research, as well as on broader philosophical and ethical questions. She is coauthor (with Baroness Ruth Deech) of From IVF to Immortality: Controversy in the Era of Reproductive Technology (buy this book from Amazon UK or Amazon USA), and she has contributed a chapter to Reprogen-Ethics and the Future of Gender (buy this book from Amazon UK or Amazon USA).
