The Third International Summit on Human Genome Editing took place in London on 6-8 March 2023.
It was hosted by the Royal Society at The Francis Crick Institute and several of PET's staff, advisors, and trustees, were present, as well as former PET volunteers and BioNews writers.
PET's chair of trustees, Professor Robin Lovell-Badge who is a group leader at the Crick acted as chair of the proceedings (pictured).
See PET's director Sarah Norcross and deputy director Sandy Starr in this short video shared by the Crick (they're about 15 seconds in).
'We're interested in genome editing from so many perspectives ... scientific, legal, ethical and policy,' said Starr. 'All of them are being discussed here and it's essential to be part of the conversation.'
