A ten-month-old baby boy has been discharged home, just two months after receiving pioneering base editing therapy for a rare and lethal genetic condition called CPS1 (see BioNews 1289).
The baby was treated at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia after being found to have two key gene mutations.
