People who smoke or vape could be banned from accessing NHS-funded IVF under proposals by the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board, to change services and cut costs.
The ICB proposal states that both partners 'should be confirmed non-smokers to access any subfertility treatment and must continue to be non-smoking throughout treatment.'
