Last Wednesday, the 11 October, was stem cell awareness day.
NHS Blood and Transplant has put out an urgent call for young Black African, Black Caribbean, and Asian men to register as lifesaving stem cell donors.
Only 37 percent of transplant recipients from minority ethnic backgrounds receive the best stem cell donor match from an unrelated donor, compared to nearly 72 percent for white Caucasian people.
