A woman with asymptomatic vaginal microbiome dysregulation who experienced multiple miscarriage and stillbirth, has given birth to a baby, after undergoing a transplant with a healthy donor's vaginal and cervical secretions.
Results from a phase 1 clinical trial published in The Lancet of five women, showed the procedure could be carried out without the use of antibiotics.
Freya Biosciences, the company that part-funded the trial, also announced results.
