A couple who gave birth to an unrelated baby after the wrong embryo was transferred by their IVF clinic, has identified the child's genetic parents.
Tiffany Score gave birth in January 2026 following treatment at the Fertility Centre of Orlando. Score and her husband Steven Mills are both white, but their daughter appeared darker-skinned, prompting them to seek DNA testing (see BioNews 1324) .
The couple insist they love their daughter, but that she deserves to know her origins. A South Asian couple who had treatment at the same clinic have now been identified as the genetic parents, and are choosing to remain anonymous.
