Florida IVF mix-up clinic closes

The clinic at the centre of a recent IVF mix-up has announced it will close.

The Fertility Center of Orlando was sued in January by a couple who gave birth to a genetically-unrelated baby following treatment there. The couple, who are both white, noticed their daughter was darker-skinned. Genetic tests revealed she has South Asian heritage and is not related to either parent (see BioNews 1324).
