The long-running case of the Assuta IVF clinic embryo mix-up (see BioNews 1281 and 1267) appears to have reached its conclusion.
Israel's Supreme Court has ruled that Baby Sofia should remain with her birth parents, who have raised her since birth, and rejected a custody appeal by her genetic parents. The court, however, stipulated that a framework must exist for her genetic parents to maintain contact with the child.
