An online tool to help IVF patients understand their chances of having a baby through IVF has been launched by researchers at the University of Aberdeen.
The tool uses years of data collected by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority, which keeps records of all IVF and ICSI treatment cycles in the UK.
The calculator builds on a previous version launched in 2016, aimed primarily at clinicians and researchers. For this iteration, the researchers focused on making it as user-friendly as possible so that it can be used directly by patients and people considering IVF.
