The Financial Times reported on the drop in NHS-funded IVF cycles over the past decade, as reported by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (see BioNews 1248).
Sarah Norcross, director of PET (Progress Educational Trust) told the Financial Times she believed NHS provision was declining because: 'there is no pressure or impetus on local commissioners in England to fund this properly'.
