A London-based IVF clinic has received an investment from a private equity firm to open more fertility clinics in the UK and abroad. CBPE Capital LLP announced its decision to invest in the Assisted Reproduction and Gynaecology Centre (ARGC) to support the clinic's expansion.
The person responsible and founder of the ARGC, Mohamed Taranissi, commented: 'I have wanted to extend ARGC's reach for some time now. I am conscious many people cannot afford the time or expense of travelling to London for treatment and I know we could help many more couples if we could see them locally and at an earlier point in their fertility journey'.
'This transaction will allow us to invest in the resources and infrastructure necessary to provide our unique service across the UK and abroad', he said.
The IVF market is growing at around seven percent per annum and as much as ten percent per annum in international markets, CBPE stated in a press release.
'We are delighted to announce this transaction', said Anne Hoffmann of CBPE. 'We have worked closely with Mr Taranissi over a number of months and are pleased to be supporting the growth of a business that brings joy to so many couples'.
Taranissi has an international reputation for his clinic's success rates, which in 2010 were over twice the national average for women younger than 35, and over three times the national average for women older than 40.
