A UK National Screening Committee blood spot task group has been set up to identify opportunities for screening that could benefit child health.
They will be responsible for identifying opportunities to obtain evidence to back up any new recommendations for screening, as part of their role.
The group will meet three times a year and report to the UK National Screening Committee fetal, maternal and child health (FMCH) meetings, the Government reported on its website.
