The UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has said it is not known whether taking semiglutide weight loss medicines, such as Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro, could harm an unborn baby.
The MHRA also said that the weight-loss injections must not be taken during pregnancy, while trying to get pregnant or while breastfeeding
In the same guidance document, it also warned that these medications may reduce the effectiveness of the contraceptive pill in those who are overweight or obese.
