Dr Tsveti Stoilova is a Volunteer Writer at BioNews, having originally joined the publication under the auspices of its writing scheme. She is currently working as an associate medical writer for a medcomms agency. Tsveti has completed a PhD in Experimental and Personalised Medicine funded by the Medical Research Council. Her time in the lab was split between University College London Institute of Ophthalmology and the Lungs for Living Research Centre. Her research, conducted under the supervision of Professor Christiana Ruhrberg, focused on molecular mechanisms that regulate blood vessel growth in the mouse and human lung. Tsveti has previously studied Pharmacology and Genetics at King's College London and holds a master's degree from Imperial College London in cancer biology.
