Publishing the results from the qualitative interviews in New Genetics and Society – Critical Studies of Contemporary Biosciences revealed that they value prenatal testing for its information-giving potential.
Yet, there is also a tension between professionals' desire for certainty and patients' expectation that they will be reassured.
