A new study, published in Management Science, of fertility clinics in the USA has found that IVF cycles increase by 27.2 percent, and IVF success rates increase by 13.6 percent after acquisition by a fertility chain.
'This means that these chain clinics are doing more cycles of IVF and converting more of those cycles into live births,' Dr Ambar La Forgia, assistant professor at Berkeley, California, and lead author of the study told Femtech World. 'They are actually improving the quality of care in a meaningful way.'
