NHS England is seeking feedback on proposed changes to the Clinical Genomic Service Specification which outlines standards for clinical genomics services in England.
Clinical genomics services provide and coordinate treatment for patients with genetic conditions, and counselling and emotional support to patients and their families. The proposed changes relate to how these services are accessed and integrated into NHS care more broadly.
There will also be two webinars which will explain the proposed changes and allow people to ask questions:
- 29 September for NHS staff, healthcare professionals and policymakers
- 3 October for patients, patient groups, charities and others
The consultation is open until midnight on 16 October. You can read all the consultation documents, register for the webinars and leave your response here.
