Mobile Infirmary in Alabama suspended treatment at its fertility clinic when the Alabama Supreme Court ruled frozen embryos accidently destroyed there could be classed as children on 26 February 2024 (see BioNews 1228).
The clinic reinstated treatment on 3 April 2024, but announced this was a temporary move as services would no longer be offered from 31 December 2024 'in light of litigation concerns surrounding IVF therapy', in a statement published on its website.
