Founder of deCODE genetics in Reykjavik, Iceland, Professor Kári Stefánsson, has stepped down as CEO after almost 30 years. This change comes in the wake of 'differing scientific priorities between himself and Amgen, deCODE's parent company'.
Professor Stefánsson's responsibilities will be picked up by Dr Unnur Þorsteinsdóttir and Dr Patrick Sulem.
