Genetic loci linked to both Type 2 diabetes and a range of gastrointestinal conditions including irritable bowel syndrome, but not inflammatory bowel disease, have been identified.
Researchers from the Centre for Precision Health at Edith Cowan University in Australia published their findings in Communications Biology.
