Those intending to use a surrogate in India, can now use donor egg or sperm, if they gain a certificate outlining medical need, Times of India reported.
This amends the most recent set of surrogacy regulations, passed by Indian Parliament in December 2021 (see BioNews 1125) that prohibited commissioning a surrogate if use of donor gametes was intended.
