Professor Emmanuelle Charpentier and Professor Jennifer Doudna were awarded the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry 'for the development of a method of genome editing' known as CRISPR (see BioNews 1067).
However, now the Professors have instructed lawyers to request the withdrawal of two of their own seminal European patents.
