The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) has cautioned patients about so-called 'IVF concierge' businesses, after one went bust and patients lost thousands of pounds that they had paid for treatment.
Apricity ceased trading on 1 January, but because it did not provide patients with treatment directly it was not regulated by the HFEA, leaving patients unprotected.
