The Philippines Consulate in Hong Kong has issued a warning to recently dismissed migrant domestic workers from the Philippines to beware of offers of surrogacy work, which may be from a trafficking syndicate operating in Georgia.
The Consulate advisory warned that the syndicate typically arranges transit to Georgia via the UAE or Qatar. They added that some women have been subjected to rape and forced abortions after arriving in Georgia.
