Farah Alam is a Volunteer Writer at BioNews, having originally joined under the auspices of its writing scheme. She is currently studying for a PhD at the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (based at University College London), in investigating the use of radiotherapy and immunotherapy in the treatment of childhood cancers.
