She completed her PhD at University College London's School of Pharmacy, under the supervision of Dr Mine Orlu and Professor Abdul Basit. She was part of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Advanced Therapeutics and Nanomedicines, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
