Ginanne Brownell is author of the new book, Elusive Mommyhood: An Investigative Reporter's Personal Journey into IVF and Surrogacy, which blends memoir with investigative journalism to explore the emotional, ethical, and legal complexities of assisted reproduction, drawing from her own surrogacy and IVF journey and her advocacy in passing the Michigan Family Protection Act. Ginanne is the communications and research director of the Michigan Fertility Alliance, a grassroots citizens-led organization advocating for people who need assisted reproduction and surrogacy to start or grow their families.
