Postgraduate diploma in law student
Iona Aylwin is a Volunteer Writer at BioNews and campaigner at PET (the Progress Educational Trust). She read BSc medical physiology and therapeutics at the University of Nottingham before starting a postgraduate diploma in law at BPP University. Iona presented her undergraduate research, 'Continuing pregnancy after a prenatal diagnosis of Down's syndrome: how do parents consider ethics in their decision?' at Uppsala Medical Ethics Conference in 2024. She led PET volunteers in lobbying MPs for NICE-compliant IVF provision nationally.
