She is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Alzheimer's Research UK UCL Drug Discovery Institute, where she is working on developing new medicines to treat Alzheimer's. Previously, she completed a PhD in Mitochondrial Biology at University College London's Research Department of Cell and Developmental Biology. Her research, conducted in the laboratories of Professor Michael Duchen and Dr Gyorgy Szabadkai, focuses on mitochondrial calcium transport in the central nervous system, and potential therapeutic targets for neurodegenerative disease. Previously, she studied Biochemistry at the University of Bath, incorporating a professional placement year at the world's largest neurological disease treatment and research institution – the Barrow Neurological Institute.
