Siobhan Chan was formerly Genetics Editor at BioNews and at the charity that publishes it, the Progress Educational Trust (PET). She is a reporter at GP magazine, and has also worked as a Communications Officer at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and as part of the editorial team of I Science magazine. She has written about science and technology in developing countries for the Science and Development Network, volunteered at the Science Museum's Lates events, and interned at PricewaterhouseCoopers' Sustainability and Climate Change department. She originally studied Natural Sciences at the University of Bath, during which she undertook a placement year as an analytical chemist at GlaxoSmithKline, and she went on to obtain an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London.
