A national register of sperm donors is being launched in Denmark, to track donations across fertility clinics and sperm banks via a centralised database. The main aim of the register is to prevent people donating across multiple clinics or banks, which could result in too many families using the same donor.
Some clinics have integrated the register into their practices, however not all sperm banks have yet implemented the register.
