The Adelphi Genentic Forum (formerly the Galton Institute) held their annual conference on 18 October at the Royal Society in London.
This year's theme was 'Population diversity, its biological consequences and impact on disease risk' and Jen Willows, who is projects officer st PET as well as legal editor of BioNews was delighted to attend.
The presentations focused on how understanding genetic variation in polulations of different ancestry can impact our understanding of deases, from monogenic to complex conditons.
