Genomics England's Generation Study has recruited over half of the 100,000 newborns whose genomes will be sequenced.
The study, which uses whole genome sequencing to screen for over 200 childhood-onset genetic conditions, has recruited 52,000 families so far, and returned results for 36,000 of those.
The update was given by Jenna Cusworth-Bolger from Genomics England, speaking at the Digital Health Rewired event in March.
