The Progress Educational Trust (PET) has published its response to the HFEA's recent consultation on potential changes to the laws which govern assisted conception and embryo research in the UK.
The consultation was entitled 'Modernising the Regulation of Fertility Treatment and Research Involving Human Embryos'. It concerned proposed changes to the law governing fertility treatment and embryo research – specifically, to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act (which was originally passed in 1990 and was given a thoroughgoing update in 2008).
