Alison McTavish was previously a Trustee at the Progress Educational Trust (PET), and is currently Chair of Trustees at the British Fertility Society. She is also a member of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA), and she sits on the HFEA's Licence Committee. She is one of the founders of the Aberdeen Fertility Centre, where she was initially Nurse Manager and subsequently Quality and Business Manager. She was a member of the National Infertility Group convened by the Scottish Government, in which capacity she worked on developing national criteria for NHS funding of IVF.
