Javier Bautista

Javier S Bautista is a Volunteer Writer at BioNews, having joined the publication under the auspices of its writing scheme. He is studying for a PhD at University College London (UCL), where his research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of mitochondrial disease. Previously, he studied Biomedicine at UCL. He takes a keen interest in science writing and communication, as well as an LGBTQ+ activist.  He tweets as @JaviBautista_.
