Dr Jenny Sharpe was a Volunteer Writer at BioNews, having originally joined the publication under the auspices of its writing scheme. Her research, conducted in the laboratory of Professor Michael Duchen, focussed on mitochondrial dysfunction in core myopathies. She is now working at Muscular Dystrophy UK as the Research Communications Officer.
