Lucas Taylor was previously a Volunteer Writer at BioNews, having originally joined the publication under the auspices of its writing scheme, and is currently studying for a PhD at Queen Mary University of London's School of Law. He originally studied Law at the University of Leicester, and went on to obtain an LLM in Human Rights Law from theLondon School of Economics and Political Science and an MA in Medical Ethics and Law from King's College London. His research areas include commercial surrogacy and alternative reproductive practices, feminist and gender theory in relation to legal parenthood, the role of autonomy in reproductive and medical decision making, and how these areas intersect within a human rights framework.
