Clinical Nurse Specialist and Lead Surrogacy Nurse

Tracey Nicholas is an advanced clinical nurse specialist at the Wales Fertility Institute (WFI). She previously qualified as a registered adult nurse in 2007 from Swansea University, and went on to develop her interest in gynaecological oncology at Singleton Hospital, Swansea. Tracey joined the team at WFI as a junior fertility nurse in 2012, in their nurse-led satellite clinic offering intrauterine insemination and hycosy. In this role, she set up the donor sperm service and became the donor sperm coordinator. Within six months of starting this post, the clinic was integrated into WFI, where she took a special interest in donation and surrogacy, and took on the role of lead surrogacy nurse. Further training, including at Edge Hill University, Lancashire, has enabled her to support the patients throughout their fertility journeys.
