Emily Jackson, professor of law at the LSE chaired a panel discussion on surrogacy law reform, and asked experts in surrogacy to outline what changes to the law might be likely to follow from the Law Commissions' five year surrogacy project.
The panel included Isabel Karpin distinguished professor of law at the University of Technology Sydney, Dr Kirsty Horsey a senior research associate at the London Women’s Clinic, Natalie Gamble a leading fertility lawyer from NGA Law and Baroness Liz Barker spokesperson on health for the Liberal Democrats in the Lords and a member of the health and social care team.
Following short presentations there was a lively discussion about surrogacy with the audience. There will be a review of the event in BioNews - so no spoilers here!
