Sarah Norcross, director of PET (the Progress Educational Trust), was in parliament last week, raising awareness about the inequality in access to IVF across England.
She was joined by colleagues from the British Fertility Society (BFS – of which she is a trustee), Dr Ippokratis Sarris and Kevin McElney, as well as Andrew Griffith, MP for Arundel and South Downs, and Gwenda Burns from the Fertility Alliance.
The BFS and Fertility Alliance recently published a report, 'Ending IVF inequity: A business case for change', following the proposal that the draft updated NICE Guideline will continue to recommend three cycles of IVF for qualifying patients (see BioNews 1306).
