A US federal judge has ruled that Arizona laws that ban the use of fetal tissue for medical research are unconstitutional. US District Judge William Browning ruled in favour of the plaintiffs which included four people with Parkinson's disease and Arizona members of the pro-choice group Planned Parenthood. But the pro-choice Center for Reproductive Law and Policy challenged the law in 1996 on behalf of the Parkinson's patients and Planned Parenthood joined the lawsuit later.
