Emeritus Professor of Experimental Embryology
Professor David Whittingham is emeritus professor of experimental embryology at St George's University of London, and a trustee of the Frozen Ark Project. Previously, he was chair of trustees at PET (the Progress Educational Trust), director of the Medical Research Council's Experimental Embryology and Teratology Unit, and a member of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority. His many research achievements include the first successful IVF in mice, and the first successful cryopreservation of all stages of preimplantation in a mammal.
