PGT (preimplantation genetic testing)
A group of techniques that look at the genetic material of embryos created through IVF. These include:
- PGT-M: preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic conditions (previously considered a form of PGD, or preimplantation genetic diagnosis)
- PGT-SR: preimplantation genetic testing for structural chromosome rearrangements (previously considered a form of PGD, or preimplantation genetic diagnosis)
- PGT-A: preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (previously known as PGS, or preimplantation genetic screening)
- PGT-P: preimplantation genetic testing involving polygenic scores
