Professor Allan Pacey, Progress Educational Trust (PET) trustee and professor of andrology at the University of Sheffield, has been recognised for his work on male fertility by the British Fertility Society.
Previously the chair of the Society, Professor Pacey is the 38th person to have been awarded the title of honorary member, University of Sheffield said in a press release. Professor Pacey has previously been recognised by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists who awarded him an Honorary Fellowship in 2014 and he received an MBE for services to reproductive medicine in the New Year Honours List 2016.
His research has focused on sperm, analysis of semen quality and male fertility.
Professor Pacey said: 'It is such an honour to receive this award – I am over the moon. My association with the British Fertility Society has been an absolute joy and I hope that I have managed in some small way to move the field forward during my career.'
