Maria Taylor was previously a Volunteer at the Progress Educational Trust (PET). She is also an MSc student in Biomedicine, Bioscience and Society at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where her research focuses on the medicalisation of deviance and its relationship to neurobiology. She has worked at Baylor College of Medicine's Human Genome Sequencing Centre, and interned at Yale University's Interdisciplinary Centre for Bioethics. Previously, she studied Biology at St Edward's University in sunny Austin, Texas, where she specialised in microbial genetics and plant biology. Her interests include educational outreach, puzzling over philosophy of science, and dabbling in the visual arts.
